STRONG GRANDMA

The woman in the photo wearing a violet colored polo-shirt is my grandmother, my super wonderful and loving grandma. This photo was taken last all saint's day. My grandma just recently surgery and in this photo looks healthy and happy. Even thought she is skiny because of the weight she loss.

Last year my grandmother found out that she had kidney disease, that she should undergo in a medical surgery. According to my grandmother the doctor said to her that she is old for surgery but this is the only way to lengthen her life, because the swollen tendon in the kidney may crack at any time and may cause her to death. Still my grandmother decided to to take the risk, She undergo surgery and because of her strong faith to God she survive in major medical operation. She believes that God is always at her side.

For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord;

My younger years

The boy in the picture is my (pamangkin) nephew. I remember when I was little boy like him. I want to learn many things, discover and want to know those things i did not know. I played with my childhood friend in the street, playing hide and seek, habul habulan, maiba ay taya, and etc.

In each time I see or saw my pamangkin playing and running around. I can't help myself to feel the happiness and reminisced my childhood.

If only I can turn back the time of my younger years.

Ever noticed that there is something about children that just invigorates, stimulates and enlivens? Children ask questions, they are eager toward life and are essentially go getters.

Children have no fear, children are visionaries. They trust in their imagination and believe that whatever they can conceive, they can achieve. Of course, we were once like children too. We were once visionaries, and were fearless. We believed that what we imagined could come to life. However, as we have grown older, instead of our creativity growing with us, it has weakened. Unfortunately, the only thing which has grown as we have grown is our fears.

Is it not ironic, that as we have grown older we have become more fearful? We may not be afraid of the dark as we were as children but our fears as adults are much more difficult to deal with and much more crippling. We have become afraid to take on challenges, to get out of our comfort zones and try new things.

With every step we take, we overanalyze and always seek the easiest way out. We are afraid to be as creative as our mind takes as us because we are afraid to fail. As a result, our achievements are way below our potential.

One thing which make some individuals stand out in life is because rather than acting
adult-like and avoiding risks, they take on risks and become top-achievers. They stand out because they have done what most of us would not dare to do. That is to take a risk.

Without the bravery to take on risks in life our creativity lies dormant. The creativity in you can be reawakened if you decide to be like a child. Like a child, your creativity will take over and guide you. You can begin to see possibilities instead of limitations.

The fears that you have, most of them imaginary can be transcended, if just like a child you do not recognize them or pay attention to them.
Those who stand out, those who realize their dreams and those who become what they want to be are child-like. They are fearless risk takers and visionaries who are guided only by their creativity.

Today, let the child in you come to life. Let your creativity flow. Rekindle the flame of your dreams and like any determined visionary your dreams can be realized. Such is the power of being a child.

VALENTINES DAY

This coming valentines day, a memory is passing by my senses again, unforgettable experienced. It's been almost one year, but it still feel the same way when I remember February 13, 2009. I feel so hurt, thinking I can't survive. I don't know where to go, where to begging my foolish heart. I celebrate valentines that night alone, looking the sky with teary eye, wishing that she's by my side. Walking with her holding hands under the moonlight. I know that is impossible because my half heart is already gone.
After that traumatic valentines of mind. I tried everything to forget and to get rid of all our memories, it's very hard. Now I am facing again what we call valentine, celebration of two heart that bids as one. Will i celebrate or mourn again for my heart?
